Jane was a fixture in the RHC for decades and whenever I picture the choir, there she is near the middle at the front with her unchangingly neat hairdo and her expression of intense concentration. For a few of those years I stood next to her - she sang soprano, I'm an alto yet she was so reliable for pitching notes off.
